Right-click the ZIP and choose Extract All, then Extract. Windows asks for a password: type syphon and click OK.

In the new folder, double-click SyphonOptimizer_Setup.exe. Windows asks if it may make changes to your PC: click Yes. The setup needs this to install into Program Files.
The Syphon Tools setup opens. Keep the folder as it is, choose if you want a desktop shortcut, and click INSTALL. A few seconds later you’re done.
Click LAUNCH SYPHON, or open Syphon Optimizer from the Start menu later. Sign in with your free Syphon account.

Syphon checks for a new version every time it starts. No need to come back here.
Start menu: type Syphon. Or use the desktop shortcut if you chose one.
Windows Settings → Apps, find Syphon Optimizer, click Uninstall.
The password is syphon, all lower case. It is the same for every Syphon download.
Syphon is a small, new publisher that Windows does not know yet, so SmartScreen can show this warning. If you downloaded the setup from syphon.tools, click More info and then Run anyway. You can check that your file is ours with the SHA-256 code on the download page.
No. Some scanners guess from how a file looks, and they sometimes flag new programs like Syphon. See the VirusTotal report for what they say, in their own words.
No. Run the new setup: it sees your Syphon and the button says UPDATE. Your settings stay as they are. Is Syphon still open? The setup closes it for you, then carries on.
Yes. Run the setup again: with the same version on your PC it offers REINSTALL, which puts every file back.
It works without. With internet, it first checks syphon.tools for a newer version and installs that one. Signing in to the app does need internet.
